Bookmark Feature
The Bookmark feature allows you to bookmark tool pages you would like to come back to. To bookmark a page:
- When viewing a tool, click the “Bookmark” button at the top of the viewer.
- Once a page is bookmarked, it will appear on the "Notes and Tool Bookmarks” page located under
My Account > Bookmarks - To go directly to the page you bookmarked, locate the page listing in the “Your Tool Bookmarks” section of the "Notes and Tool Bookmarks” page and click the “View” button.
A page can also be unbookmarked. If you wish to unbookmark a page, you can do it in one of two ways:
- Within the “Your Tool Bookmarks” section of the "Notes and Tool Bookmarks” page, click the “Delete” button.
- While on a bookmarked page within a product, click the “Unbookmark” button.
Notes Feature
The Notes feature is available within the tool viewer. It is located at the bottom of the viewer and allows you to add notes to any tool. Each note is saved and will appear every time you open the tool. In addition, the note that is created is listed on the “Notes” page and links back to the section of the tool in which the note was created.
To create a note:
- While viewing a tool, locate and click the “Create Note” feature in the bottom-left corner of the product viewer.
- Your cursor will turn into a yellow sticky note when you move onto the page.
- Click on the section of the page where you wish to make the note.
- A yellow box will appear. Type your note within the yellow box.
- You also have the option to position notes more precisely. When you click on “Create Note,” a submenu of options will appear in the bottom of your screen:
- Point: This allows you to place a red arrow at a specific sentence or section of the document where you can create a note.
- Area: This allows you to draw a red dotted box around a selection of text where you can create a note.
- Text: This allows you to highlight specific text with the color of your choice and to create a note to accompany the highlighted text.
To delete a note:
- Click the note so it turns gray.
- Locate and click the trash icon at the bottom of the viewer
- A prompt will appear asking if you would really like to delete the note, click yes or no based on your preference.
To turn a note on or off:
- Click on the eye icon at the bottom of the product viewer.
- This will allow you to view the page with or without the notes.
View and Manage Bookmarks and Notes
Bookmark Management
Your bookmarks can be viewed and managed from the "My Account" link in the navigation menu.
- Navigate to My Account > Bookmarks
- On the "Notes and Tool Bookmarks" page the bookmarks you have created are listed.
- Your bookmarks can be:
- Viewed, the "View" button links you back to the page in the tool you bookmarked.
- Deleted, the "Delete" button deletes the bookmark.
Notes Management
Your notes can be viewed and managed from the "My Account" link in the navigation menu.
- Navigate to My Account > Notes
- On the Notes page, the notes are categorized by two tabs, Product and General.
- All notes that are created on a tool page are listed under the "Product" tab.
- A new tool note can also be created from the "Notes" page:
- Click the "Product" tab.
- Click the "+Add Notes" button.
- On the "Add Product Note" page, select the product you would like to enter a note for.
- Enter the note in the text editor.
- Click "Save Note".
- The newly created note will appear within the "Product" tab.
- General notes can also be created on the "Notes" page and are listed under the "General" tab.
- To create a new general note on the "Notes" page:
- Click the
- Click the "+Add Notes" button.
- On the "Add General Notes" page, select the type of note you wish to add (client or reminder.)
- Enter the note in the text editor.
- Click "Save Note".
- The newly created note will appear within the "General" tab.
- All notes can be:
- Viewed by clicking the green "View" button. When viewing a note, you can also make edits to the note.
- Deleted by clicking the red "Delete" button.
- Emailed to a colleague by clicking the blue "Email" button.
