There are seven user types available in the CG Tools Platform. The users are listed below and organized by the Super Agency Account structure and the Agency Account structure.
Super Agency Account Users
- Super Agency Administrators can:
- Create, manage, and view Sub-Agencies
- Create, manage, and view Super Agency Monitor, Sub-Agency Administrator, Sub-Agency Monitor, and Agency User accounts
- Manage and assign product licenses
- Run system usage reports
Super Agency Administrators for agencies that have Tools on Devices (TOD) licenses can also:
- Create, manage, and view Client User accounts
- View and track client assignments
Each Super Agency can have as many Super Agency Administrators as needed; it is recommended that agencies have at least two Super Agency Administrator accounts. This ensures access to the Super Administrator’s functions if one Super Administrator is unavailable. Super Agency Administrator accounts do not require a product license.
- Super Agency Monitors can:
- View Sub-Agencies
- View Sub-Agency Administrator, Sub-Agency Monitor, and Agency User accounts
- Run system usage reports
Super Agency Monitors for agencies that have Tools on Devices (TOD) licenses can also:
- View Client User accounts
- View and track client assignments
Each Super Agency can have as many Super Agency Monitors as needed. Super Agency Monitor accounts do not require a product license.
- Sub-Agency Administrators can:
- Create, manage, and view Sub-Agency Monitor and Agency User accounts
- Manage and assign product licenses
- Run system usage reports
Sub-Agency Administrators for agencies that have Tools on Devices (TOD) licenses can also:
- Create, manage, and view Client User accounts
- View and track client assignments

- Access the products for which they have licenses
Agency Users with a Tools on Devices (TOD) license can also:
- Create and manage an unlimited number of Client User accounts
- Assign, track, and review client tool assignments
Agency User accounts require a product license(s).
Agency Account Users
- Agency Administrators can:
- Create, manage, and view Agency Monitor and Agency User accounts
- Manage and assign product licenses
- Run system usage reports
Agency Administrators for agencies that have Tools on Devices (TOD) licenses can also:
- Create, manage, and view Client User accounts
- View and track client assignments

Agency User accounts require a product license(s).
- Client Users (this user type is only available to agencies that have Tools on Devices (TOD) licenses) can:
- Access, complete, and submit assigned Carey Group Publishing tools from their smartphones, tablets, and personal computers; tools are presented as “fillable forms” on these devices
Client User accounts do not require a product license.
